FEAST DAY OF OUR LADY OF THE ASSUMPTION IN MARAGONDON 2017

The Virgin Mary has been honored and venerated as Mother of God here in our town in Maragondon when the Spanish missionaries came in the 16th century. One of it is to the devotion of Our Lady of the Assumption. The feast of Our Lady of the Assumption is celebrated annually every August 15. The Our Lady of the Assumption here in Maragondon is also known for miracles attributed to the Virgin Mary and the old Catholic Church structure, religious devotees from all over Cavite as well flock every year to Maragondon to attend the patron saint’s feast day.

Holy Mass will be celebrated as early as 5 am followed by Holy Mass at 6 am, 7am and 8 am. The Con-celebrated Mass will be conducted at 9:00 am and led by the Holy Bishop of the Diocese of Imus with the clergy of the Diocese. At 5pm and 6 pm, Holy Mass will be celebrated. After the Holy Mass, the Grand Procession of the image of the Blessed Virgin Mary will be conducted. 

On the start of the procession, fireworks display is usually held and usually provided by the Parishioners and Devotees of the Our Lady of the Assumption.
