SAINT ANTHONY OF PADUA FIESTA IN MARAGONDON 2017

Saint Anthony of Padua has been honored and venerated as the Doctor of the Catholic Church in our town in Maragondon when the Spanish missionaries founded Our Lady of the Assumption Parish One of it is to the devotion to Saint Anthony of Padua. The feast of Saint Anthony of Padua is celebrated annually every June 13. Like other Saint Anthony of Padua chapels and parishes in the country and in Cavite province, Our Saint Anthony of Padua here in Maragondon is also known for some miracles attributed to it , religious devotees from nearby towns near Maragondon as well flock every year to Maragondon to attend the patron saint’s feast day.
Holy Mass will be celebrated as early as 6:00 am followed by Holy Mass at 7:30am and 9:00 am. The Con-celebrated Mass will be conducted at 4:30 pm and led by the Holy Bishop of the Diocese of Imus with the clergy of the Diocese. At 4:30pm, Holy Mass will be celebrated. After the Holy Mass, the Grand Procession of the image of the Saint Anthony of Padua and other patron saints of other barangays will be conducted.
On the start of the procession, fireworks display is usually held and usually provided by the Parishioners and Devotees of Saint Anthony of Padua.
